What do you do when you turn 50?

You have a big birthday bash! A community event to gather the people from the past, those in the present, and the many that would come in the future, was just what this elementary school needed. 

The birthday celebration was a weekend celebration for the community. The school celebrated on the actual date of the schools opening by dressing in attire from the 1960's, having birthday treats at lunch, and signing Happy Birthday as a group of 400 students.

The best part of the day was getting to see a hot air balloon inflate to recreate a memory from the school's past.
