The Gummball 5K was established in 2018 after the tragic death of Adams County Sheriff's Deputy Heath Gumm. The race gets better year after year, and will be hosted for a 8th year in 2025.

The race generates approximately $7,000 a year and a portion of those dollars are given to other non-profits who support first responders and those that were important to Deputy Gumm.
